Employment for convicted felons will be on the rise, according to the labor news released today. Of all the sectors with job openings on the rise, healthcare and retaurant/bar service are the two industries with the greatest growth. For those with a felony conviction, this is good news especially if you have an interest in healthcare and an interest in nursing or working as a nursing assistant.   With nursing vacancies expected to exponentially increase over the next several years, and as baby boomers enter into retirement, more and more employment for convicted felons will open up as people are going to be needed to fill these job openings.   For women, especially, and those with children, there are many school grants for single mothers that will provide you with the education and training you need to become certified as a nursing assistant.  Because nursing vacancies will be in high levels, starting out as a nursing assistant will give you the career experience and income you need to further advance your education and become a registered nurse.   Remember, no matter what type of employment for felons you are looking for, there are always options to be found in the healthcare sector.
